Privacy Policy
Grace Church ("Grace" or "we") is committed to protecting the privacy of our user's personal information. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") applies to the information that we collect from the primary Grace Church Web site located at www.gracechurch.com and from all other Web sites owned or operated by Grace Church, including (but not limited to) www.gracechurchkids.com. (This Policy uses the term "Site" to refer to all such Web sites.) Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to these Sites owned or operated by Grace and not to any other Web sites to which a Grace Site may link. This Privacy Policy is effective October 11, 2007.
Acceptance of Privacy Policy and Amendments
By providing information to and/or accessing or using any Grace Site, you are agreeing to this Privacy Policy. Any amendments to this Policy will be posted at this URL, www.gracechurch.com/legal, and will be effective when posted. When you continue to provide information to, to use, and/or otherwise to access any of the Grace Sites following the posting of any amendment, modification, or change, you are accepting this Privacy Policy as so amended, modified, or changed.
Collection of Personal Information
Personal Information. Grace does not collect any personally identifying information (or "Personal Information" for short) about you via the Grace Sites unless you voluntarily submit such information to Grace by, for example, registering for a Grace event or study, submitting your e-mail address to the Site to subscribe to a newsletter, filling out a survey or registration form on the Site, etc. Types of Personal Information that may be collected may include (but is not limited to) the following:
- your name
- your address
- your e-mail address
- telephone number
Account Information: In connection with your use of a Grace Site, you may also create or submit, and Grace may collect, information about you related to your access to and/or use of the Site. Such information may include (but is not limited to) the following:
- your user name for the Grace Site
- your password to access the Grace Site
If and when unique Account Information is combined with Personal Information about you, it is treated in the same way as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy. Financial Information. Grace does not collect financial information on the Site. Currently we do not allow for the payment of fees or contributions online.
Use of Personal Information
In general, Grace will use the Personal Information that you provide to Grace via any of the Grace Sites for the purpose for which such information was provided. Grace may also use this Personal Information to deliver to you information about our ministry, including (but not limited to) information about new items available from Grace, information about events offered, sponsored, or endorsed by Grace, information about prayer needs or financial needs of Grace. Your Personal Information may also be used to contact you when necessary in Grace's judgment. You may opt-out of receiving future communications from Grace by following the instructions set forth in the Section 10 below.
Access to Personal Information
Upon your request, Grace will provide you with access to the Personal Information, Account Information that a Grace Site maintains about you. (Personal Information and Account Information may be referred to collectively in this Privacy Policy as "User Information.") To obtain access to, correct, and/or update your User Information, please contact the Grace Church offices at info@gracechurch.com, providing appropriate verification of your identity (which may include, but is not limited to, your user name and password used to access your account), and providing or correcting the relevant information. If you have any questions about your User Information or how to access it, please contact Grace Church.
Grace does not share your Personal Information with third parties except as explained in this Privacy Policy. As required by law.
Grace will comply with applicable laws regarding your Personal Information and other User Information. Therefore, Grace may release your Personal Information and other User Information in response to a subpoena or as otherwise required by applicable laws, regulations, or rulings.
Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information
When you visit a Grace Site, the Site may collect Non-Personal Information about you in a number of ways, including tracking your activities through your IP address, computer settings, or most-recently visited URL. Such Non-Personal Information may also include (but is not limited to) your IP address, your browser type, your computer settings, the date/time of access to the Site, the most recently-visited URL, and similar information.
Cookies
When you view a Grace Site, the Site might store some information on your computer. This information will be in the form of a "cookie" or similar file. Cookies are small pieces of information stored on your hard drive, not on the Grace Site. The Cookies used by the Grace Site do not spy on you or otherwise invade your privacy, and they cannot invade your hard drive and steal information. Rather, they help you navigate a Web site as easily as possible. The Grace Sites use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests and to prevent you from reentering all your registration data at each connection. The Grace Sites use cookies to store visitors' preferences, record session information, and record past activity at the Sites in order to provide better service when you return to the Sites.
Children
Grace Church is a corporation recognized as a nonprofit religious, educational, and charitable organization. The Grace Sites are operated in furtherance of Grace's tax-exempt non-commercial purposes and are not targeted or aimed at children under age 13. The information that the Sites collect about users does not include any information about whether a user is under age 13. For these and other reasons, the Grace Sites are not subject to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 and related regulations. Grace strongly encourages parents to supervise their children's use of the Internet.
Security
The Grace Sites use industry standard security measures to help protect the information under our control and help prevent its loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration. While there is no such thing as "perfect security" on the Internet, Grace takes reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information.
Correcting or Updating Information
Grace allows you the option to correct, update, and/or modify User Information previously provided. This may be done by e-mailing the information to info@gracechurch.com or by logging into the "My GraceChurch" section of the website and updating your records personally.
Choice; Opt Out
You may opt out of receiving communications from Grace by e-mailing the information to info@gracechurch.com.
Other Web Sites; Links
The Grace Sites contain links to other Web sites. Grace is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.
Refund and Return Policy
We currently do not offer the option to purchase study guides or reference material online.
