Funerals

Funerals

Grace Church is committed to supporting those in our fellowship who lose a family member or friend to death. We’re available to help by listening, counseling, providing meals, and officiating at funeral services.

There are several different ways to attend to the loss of a family member or friend. It has been customary to have a funeral service at the church building or a funeral home chapel, followed by the burial at a cemetery. It is becoming increasingly popular to have a private family burial, followed by a public memorial service. If cremation is used, it is quite common to simply have a memorial service in a funeral home chapel or at the church building. Others prefer a simple graveside service with or without music.

Regardless, we understand that a funeral service does not end the grief process, so we remain available to walk with our people through the long and sometimes painful process of adjusting to life after their loss.
